I'm back, hopefully for good this time, still lost but perhaps what I find I can share with you on this humble page of mine. I've completed my stint in the Armed Forces, so here I go into a new chapter of my life.. one filled with hope and promise, and which i sincerely hope to utilise well. Please do continue leaving any comments in my guestbook, you don't know how much they mean to me...

Bonos.org begun in June 2000, when I thought having my own domain name would mean that my friends would actually start to remember the URL of my page, instead of forgetting it 5 minutes after they left my page. You see, I crave an audience for the stuff that I put up on the net. In my opinion, it's only worth putting time and effort into a webpage if people actually see it and perhaps even(gasp!) enjoy it.

Although I started a webpage soon after I came on the net in 1996, it was basically a rudimentary experiment that was done for fun. I figured that since my ISP was giving me 5 megs of online space, I might as well turn it into something fun. Being somewhat a joker, and deprived of a nice nickname then, I started a page called "Justinzone" at my webspace. It was just a cut-and-paste job done in notepad, but I must say I had some fun with it. I soon begun to think that a homepage wasn't quite my thing, because I had nothing much interesting to share, and thus used the webspace to start The Interlink, which I worked on from 1996 to 1997. The page was abandoned sometime in 1998, due to a lack of interest in the Web and having important exams that year.

I remained bored with the Web till 1999, when I begun playing with Adobe Photoshop. I realised that I could do some pretty nice graphics with it, and continued messing around with the program. After creating a banner about my school which I was really proud about, I decided to post it on the web in the hope that someone would see and appreciate it. Thus was born The Void Deck. I continued working on that page from 1999 till this year, posting new graphics and doing a bit of poetry, when I realised the page was getting too messy and user-unfriendly due to my lazy coding. I did a slight revamp, where I thumbnailed my graphics, but the gears were set in motion. I had to do a nice, user-friendly page which I could be proud of. Together with this new start, a new domain was needed. Thus, Bonos.org was born.

I've redesigned the page graphics and modified the layout of this page four times, changed the name of the page to Bonos.org from Bonostance, and the blurb from "Existence as defined by Bonos" to "Existence as perceived by Bonos" to "Existence Perceived", with the last one being "Appreciate existence" in an effort to make the page less egocentric. However, I recently felt that "existence" seemed too profound a word to use, and hence the present motto: "Seeking Meaning", which I find to be more accurate than ever.

The page is still far from being an ideal. For one, I'd like to incorporate nicer features such as CSS and DHTML, but I guess it'll remain this way till I get off my lazy butt and actually learn how to do those things. I'll continue to do new graphics as often as I can, and am presently focusing on writing a bit more for the page. I hope you'll enjoy it, and please check back regularly for updates... :)

I've been going through a rather poor patch creatively at the moment, and feel that I am at my limits.. I really know I should be updating this site a bit more than about a month or so, but since I'm currently doing my mandatory 30-month service in the Armed Forces, it's been rather hard to do so due to lack of time. I hope to be able to pick it up once I leave the army... in about 20 months.. til then, thanks for your visit and I hope you'll enjoy my page.
